One more interesting project that Apple has done for the past few years is its autonomous car project. This project has lived and died, but it seems the project is preparing because Apple is reportedly employing a former Tesla engineer to improve the development of autonomous cars. The report claimed that since Apple’s efforts to secure the battery from Chinese producers did not function, it turned to Japanese battery manufacturers. Previously, Apple hired former BMW electric vehicle executive for Titan projects. EV experts are Ulrich Kranz, who also set up EV startup called Canoo and worked at Faraday Future. He acted as a senior vice president for the BMW I division, who was responsible for i3 and i8 sports cars.
