Roy Horn from the famous duo Siegfried and Roy died on May 8, 2022, more than a week after contracting the coronavirus, as was originally reported by TMZ. He is 75 years old.

Roy and his colleague Siegfried Fischbacher are known for their lively animal and magic performances who gained popularity in Europe, and then found power in Las Vegas for four decades. Their actions entertain the generation and are known to surprise the audience by destroying lions, tigers, leopards, and other large animals until 2003.

His famous period ended long before Roy’s death when, in October that year, he was attacked on stage by one of his own tiger. Large white cats, mantecore, mutilated the artist in front of the audience and cut his spine. A spectator reminded CNN that Roy looked “like a cloth doll” in the mouth of the tiger. The attack, which occurred on Roy’s 59th birthday, allegedly caused blood loss, stroke, and two operations, and eventually made him paralyzed.

But in accordance with his love for animals and crafts, Roy claimed that Mantecore really saved his life after feeling a stroke by dragging him outside the stage. The same dedication to his life on the stage produced millions of people and colleagues.

Although the direct performance of the magicians ended more than a decade ago, Siegfried and Roy lived together and had a combined value of $ 120 million. According to celebrity clean wealth, they debuted in Las Vegas in 1967 after appearing at clubs throughout Europe and even on cruise ships.

In Las Vegas, they did the main show at the New Frontier Hotel and Casino in 1981, and only a few years later, in 1989, they began to be the headlines of The Mirage. They performed there for 14 years and their performances became one of the most visited, so they produced more than $ 60 million per year during the 1990s and 2000s. In 1999, they got their own stars in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Even after Roy’s tragic injury and final performance, both of them did not complete their careers but instead opened wildlife protection, secret parks, and lumba -lumba habitats. They settled in 100 hectares of property purchased for $ 10 million, which featured many large houses, a large place as big as a dozen soccer fields, and private water parks. Their wealth also allows them to have other houses in the Las Vegas area.

All of this remains in Roy’s memory, which will definitely be passed by Siegfried. “Today, the world has lost one of the great magic, but I have lost my best friend,” Siegfried said in a statement. “There’s no way there is Siegfried without Roy, or Roy without Siegfried.”
