Encanto director reveals Mirabel detail you might have missed

The latest Disney sensation Encanto has taken the world with a storm, and there are many speculations about many film elements that make up the full story.

The film is centered on the Madrigal family, all of which are blessed with magic in a hidden place in the Colombian mountains. The only person who doesn’t have a unique gift of The Sarient House – Casa Madrigal – Babes is Mirabel, playing by Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Stephanie Beatriz.

Mirabel did a search to save the magic of Casa when he found that something threatened him and his family.

Like many other Disney films, he has an extraordinary hero who will do anything he can save his family – while at the same time feeling at odds with them and getting out of the miracle that connects them.

However, there is one small detail of encanto that you might miss with respect to the feelings of separation and mirabel exclusion.

Director of Encanto, Byron Howard, spoke with Empire magazine about Mirabel and, in particular, the song he was singing: ‘Waiting for a miracle’.

While fans might just think it was a beautiful song, one thing about it talked directly by how Mirabel felt – out of step with his family – because the song came out of the rhythm for each song in Encanto.

“This is not your typical song. Literally in a different rhythm of every other song in the film,” Howard said.
