Downton Abbey 2’s new trailer is coming VERY soon

Downton Abbey: The new era is one step closer to make his long debut anticipated in the cinema.

Universal Pictures UK has announced that the trailer for the second Downton film – written by Creator Julian Fellowes and produced by Gareth Neame – will be released tomorrow (February 15).

“The Lawacy continues,” Universal Twitter account joined on Monday (February 14). “Watch a new trailer for #Downtonabbey: a new era tomorrow.”

Tweets are also accompanied by official posters for this film too, so that ITV period drama fans can enjoy their eyes on the poster while waiting for the fall trailer.

The new era saw many familiar faces to return for the second ABBEY downton film – and they will join some new and interesting additions too.

Together with Sister Crawley, Lady Mary Talbot (Michelle Dockery) and Edith Pelham, now Marchhoness of Hexham (Laura Carmichael), this series also marks the return of the character of the Lady Violet Fan, played by Maggie Smith.

Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye and Dominic West will all make their downton debut in the sequel, playing new characters.

Following from the ITV hit series, the first film was released in 2019 and focused on what happened when King George V and Queen Mary paid a royal visit to Downton’s monastery.

While the details of the main plots of the second film were still stored under a wrap, one of the steel films in November last year that part of the action would be arranged in the south of France, where Lady Violet inherited a villa. Not too bad, if you ask us.

Downton Abbey: A New Era will be released in cinemas on April 29, 2022.
