Pixel 6 slow fingerprint scanner speed is a feature, not a bug

The fingerprint scanner has now become a de facto biometric security system for many computing devices, especially on smartphones outside the Apple iPhone. They are often fast, accurate, and cheap compared to the more advanced sensor arrays as used for face id, even placed under the mobile screen. The fingerprint scanner on this screen has come a long and almost the same reliable with their optical colleagues. Pixel 6, however, has been reported to have a fingerprint scanner that is rather slow or unreliable, and it seems, it is with design, according to Google.

The fingerprint scanner on the screen or under-display is relatively newer compared to traditional optics on the back of the smartphone or under the power button. That said, they become almost the same can be relied on because the years passed, and even the relatively new Ultrasonic-based technology of Qualcomm had increased since the first gene iteration last year. That’s why it’s a bit surprising that pixels 6 are reported to have left and true problems with what should be the basic hardware feature now.

Complaints from the owner of Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 have started to accumulate, describe slow and unreliable. Users report that it takes more than a few times trying to completely open the phone, make an annoyed process. Unfortunately, Google’s official response did not help convince the owner, especially because it was thought that this functions as referred to.

According to Google representatives who handle the company’s Twitter account, Pixel 6 uses “enhanced security algorithms” to verify fingerprints. This, in turn, can cause delays or even missing. The suggested solution Google is to make sure your fingers are clean, moisturized correctly, and pressed strongly on the sensor.

Other user scales that Google’s use of the optical sensor under the display is blamed, but it is contrary to other telephone evidence that uses the same technology. Google’s response confirmed that it was software based, but it didn’t seem to make the Android maker really consider it to be repaired. Instead, customer representatives suggest the owner to contact chat support to complete everything.

Unfortunately, this makes the owner of the pixel 6 in a little suitability about their cellphone security. They are fed up with how unreliable fingerprint scanners can switch to a more complicated PIN method. It is ironic that the enhanced Google security algorithm can, instead force some users to use a less secure method, at least until Google fix this problem, think it even sees it as a problem that will be repaired.
